San Francisco
I am a senior journalism student at San Francisco State University. In 2015, I was a participant of Connect, a student journalism project by the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) and was a staff writer for SF State’s on-campus magazine Xpress, where I wrote about microplastics and a proposed transgender bathroom bill. This past Spring, I worked as a video journalist intern for ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel where I was assigned the Bernie Sanders beat. After I graduate in the fall of 2016, I hopes to travel throughout Asia and produce LGBT narratives to connect Asian Americans and increase awareness about LGBT rights, stigma and discrimination in the Eastern world. Currently I am a freelance multimedia journalist for “Balitang America” and SFBay.ca.
