Angie Lau is an anchor for Bloomberg Television. Based in Hong Kong, Angie hosts "First Up with Angie Lau," which begins live daily coverage out of Asia, leading viewers into the start of the business day.

Angie has interviewed many business leaders and influencers, from Li & Fung Chairman William Fung live in the studio to Franklin Templeton’s Chairman Mark Mobius and Hong Kong’s former Chief Secretary Anson Chan. She has anchored programs looking at the future of Macau and extensive interviews with the likes of renowned fashion designer, Sir Paul Smith and CEO of J Crew, Mickey Drexler.

A global journalist with more than 16 years’ experience, Angie came to Hong Kong from Bloomberg’s Chicago bureau where she covered markets and business stories from the Chicago Board of Trade. Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was the consumer reporter and anchor for the ABC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio, where she received the Excellence in Journalism Award for Investigative Reporting.

Angie is Co-President of the AAJA-Asia Chapter, helping lead the global team of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA). She was also the co-director of AAJA J-Camp, which teaches journalism to scholarship students across the nation. In addition, Angie also currently serves as Correspondent Board Governor leading the Communications Committee at the Foreign Correspondents' Club (FCC) in Hong Kong.
