Shawn Chitnis joined KPIX-TV in 2021. Shawn reports for the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts on KPIX 5 on CBS News Bay Area as an MMJ. Before moving to San Francisco, he worked in Denver for six years at the KPIX's sister station, KCNC-TV. Shawn started his career in eastern Washington working in Spokane and Yakima. A Seattle native, it was a return to the Northwest after graduating from USC with a degree in journalism.
